Why are you invited?

First of all, you “get” our good friend; after all, you are on their short list of people that just have to be at the table. Secondly, our good friend thinks you will “get” us. Who are we? John Heers and Ryan Jobe, two teachers in Florida with a vision for an international development organization, one that demands love and boots on the ground. We want you to believe in and support our foundation, First Things Foundation (www.first-things.org). The kepi will help you understand why we exist as an entity. It will allow you, at least for one night, to stand with us as we go forward to Georgia, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Immokalee and points unknown. We want you to be a partner in this crazy endeavor, and we thank you for your intrepid acceptance of this invitation. So that is why you are “here”. But what is a kepi, and why are we throwing it? Are we Georgian? No, but we did live in and visit Georgia. We experienced this party firsthand and now feel compelled to share it. What follows is a short explanation of the nuts and bolts of our evening. Furthermore, we’ve included some commentary from different perspectives, folks who have fallen in love with the table and are trying to tell us about it. So please see below and click on! We promise that you will love what awaits, and you might even end up a tamada one day. Now, let’s start with some kepi vocabulary listed on the tab below.
